Lee Kaplan (Lena Kaplun) was born in Moscow in 1989 and studied architecture for 9 years. After graduating from the Moscow Architectural Institute, she worked as an architect for a couple of years before her lifelong passion for drawing and painting took over. She began to draw illustrations for books magazines, and websites, which led her to devote herself to becoming a painter full time.

Kaplan currently lives in Israel with her two children, who inspire her to build a life as an artist.
