Born and raised in Texas, KAT is an American pop artist through and through. Her artistic talent was acknowledged at an early age and she was surrounded by creative people: her family was full of musicians. While KAT leaned toward the visual arts, the music with which she was raised, including folk, bluegrass, and rock and roll, inspired her art. KAT was selling this remarkable art by the time she was fourteen and when she finished high school she was awarded a scholarship to study the Fine Arts at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Called “part of art history in the making for this century,” KAT has also been compared to pop art icons like Andy Warhol and Peter Max. Her musically inspired art is collected world-wide and she continues to create incredible paintings. KAT hopes that her work and influence will shed light on issues close to her heart: the needs of art and music education, animal rights, and health issues.
