Lorenzo Quinn

Renowned sculptor Lorenzo Quinn was born in 1966 in Rome, Italy. Studying at the American Academy of Fine Arts in New York, Quinn was initially interested solely in painting. Quinn, ever the creator, decided that there was an element missing from his work, and so he turned to sculpture. Drawing inspiration from the masters like Michelangelo, Bernini, Capaux, and Rodin, Quinn began creating memorable and captivating sculptures that caught the attention of collectors worldwide. Quinn’s fame skyrocketed and he began to accept prestigious commissions; the Vatican commissioned Quinn to create a sculpture of St. Anthony in commemoration of the Eighth Centennial of his birth. Quinn’s monumental sculptures can be seen around Europe and in many private collections.

Quinn begins each piece by writing a poem; this literary outpouring inspires his physical work. Quinn attempts to sculpt everyday life experiences as well as poem and literature. His great attention to detail and the arts is evident in his work, which depict a period, an emotion, or a symbol.
