Karen Leibrick

Born in 1964, Karen Leibrick is a Southern California native who discovered her natural born talent for painting and drawing through her love of horses as a young girl. Given her first set of acrylic paints at age fourteen by her older brother, Leibrick essentially taught herself, enjoying the support of a family with a self-described artistic streak - everyone has some sort of talent for painting or drawing, and Karen's distant cousin is famous early American artist Edward Hicks, painter of "Peaceable Kingdom".

Leibrick is a former NFL cheerleader who has always been dedicated to charity work and raising awareness for worthy causes, most notably cancer research as she lost her big brother Kurt to testicular cancer when he was only 26, and her father now struggles with colon cancer. Through her life's work and her artwork, Karen Leibrick is a widely recognized public figure, with her wonderfully eclectic creations collected by admirers everywhere, and a 2010 showing of her art at the world famous Louvre Museum under her belt.
