The interest in painting surfaced very early in Dim Yuz's life and at the tender age of eleven he was accepted to the Academy for the Arts in his homeland of Ukraine. In 1991 when Dim turned seventeen he immigrated to Israel with his family. He attended the Visual Arts Academy in Beer Sheva and the renowned Bezalel Academy of the Arts and Design, where he won many awards and accolades for his academic and artistic achievements. Yuz's artistic ability is multi faceted: paintings, sculpture and video-art. He elegantly and effortlessly moves between the different mediums and creates great work in all of them: landscape (both real and imaginary), portraits, objects, still life and fantasies. Even though he is very powerful in the classical style his work is eloquent and expressive showing his vivid imagination.
