David Knowlton grew up surrounded by professional artists who supported his own interest in art, and he was soon winning contests for his artwork. His study of art was interrupted by an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy, where Knowlton became an army engineer and later went on to study at Stanford University. In 1973, Knowlton left the army and began taking steps to launch a career as a full-time artist working in acrylics. His beautiful and tranquil works have been shown in solo exhibitions and galleries throughout the world.
