Born in Ecuador, Cesar Naranjo was destined to be an artist. Born into an artistic family, Naranjo began exploring his artistic talents by painting and sculpting. After taking a trip to Hawaii and observing the local fauna, Naranjo became enamored with the gecko, and decided to make sculpting the gecko his life work. Naranjo studied at the Otis Parson Institute in Los Angeles, California and has since received numerous awards for his sculptures.
