Antoine Knibily was born in Colmar (Alsace) in 1920, after becoming a priest, and devoting his life to god, Knibily lived in Chile with the most impoverished of the population. After reaching the point where Knibily experienced the "complete exhaustion of his nerves," Knibily moved to New York in an attempt to forget about all of the miseries he witnessed in Chile. It was in New York where Knibily began his search for joy through painting. Knibily creates images that are bursting with lively color and a rhythm of his own!
