Margot Clark, wife of famous actor Dane Clark. When painting she adopted the name “Veres” for artworks which translates to “Red Head” from Hungarian. Early on, Veres had an attraction to the world of clown performers. It was not long before they became the main focus of her artistry. As her recognition grew, she was invited to paint some of the most well known clowns in the business. Some of them include, Emmett Kelley, Paul Jung, Harry Nelson, and Price Paul to name a few. Veres mastery of color and depiction of the entertainers became her signature style. Her depictions of the clowns also captured the essence of the men evolving into their characters.
