Valentin started painting at a very young age. He was first introduced to art by his father who was an artisan that would hire painters to finish his ceramics. Valentin is especially interested in painting landscapes and he has travelled throughout South America, capturing the scene and lighting of the land. He has a profound admiration for the past greats, such as Constable, Turner, Dauvigny, Rosseau and Diaz de la Pena whom he credits for inspiring his artistic style. Valentin's works are collected by the most prominent South American collectors, including the Banco de la Nacion in Lima and el Banco de Bogota in Colombia. He has gained vast acclaim in Lima where he currently resides and in some of the most prestigious art circles abroad.
