Born in Pennsylvania, Susan Osborne did not begin her formal art training until the late 1980s at the Pratt Institute in New Your City. While Studying in New York sh took advantage of her close proximity to the vast community of art galleries and museums.

While in new York, Susan won a scholarship to study in Europe, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1993, from the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. After attaining her degree, Susan remained in Europe for several years working on various public art projects. In 1996 she returned to the United States and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and began to embark on an endeavor to "create truly unique and original art to suit all imaginations, traditions and interiors." Susan still resides in Arizona with her husband and son.

Susan Osborne's primary artistic objective is to "pursue the legacy of simple form, line and design." This objective is clearly seen throughout her body of work.
