Spartaco Lombardo is a figurative artist who was born in 1958 in the provence of Varese. He studied science but his artistic ability was self taught. Art critics, have given him a great deal of praise and many publications have covered his exhibitions in Italy and abroad. His works are serene and refined in their lyrical conception. One critic was quoted as saying: "Spartaco Lombardo combines sensitive observation with a refined artistic technique, both prompt and effective. The artist shows himself to be ahappy interpreter of a reality which he portrays in clear representitive terms, full of atmosphere and immediacy". Lombardo's paintings can be found in private collections in Italy, France, Sweden, Spain, Argentina and the United States.
