Sailer was born in Germany in 1947. As a young man his two main loves were nature and painting. After the secondary school he attended classes in Duesseldorf. He then moved with his parents to Alto Adige area in Italy. It was the beauty of his new surroundings that played an important role in his decision to pursue painting as a profession. Sailer studied the classic painters as his hobby transformed into his new profession. His palette is filled with warm and restful tones and the serene matching of the colors is consistent with the style of nineteenth-century romanticism. Over his career Sailer has participated in in numerous one-man and collective art shows gaining praise from critics and art lovers alike. His paintings can be found in some of the most important galleries all over the world.
