Rusty Frentner

Wildlife artist Rusty Frentner grew up in the wilderness of southeastern Michigan and began his art career as a technical illustrator but has worked all the while to refine his fine art painting. In 1995, Frentner’s portrait of a wolf won Wildlife Art magazine’s Remarque Contest, and another painting of two Canada geese was selected for the 1996 Michigan State Waterfowl Stamp. Frentner lives on five acres of land outside Detroit, where he observes the wildlife and makes field study sketches for his breathtaking paintings.
