Born and raised in British Columbia, Ron Parker grew up surrounded by nature. Though throughout his schooling, Parker followed an “eclectic” path, he was eventually drawn to the fine arts. Parker spent ten years perfecting various artistic components—light, composition, design, etc. After those ten years, Parker was impressing both collectors and enthusiasts. In 1994, he was named “Artist of the Year” at the Vancouver International Wildlife Art Show. Parker was soon commissioned by the Canadian government to created an image of a sea otter to appear on coins.
