“What dreams may come…” could perhaps describe the artwork of intuitive painter Ron Mondz. A Southern California native, Mondz studied at the Art Center College of Design and the California Institute of the Arts. Traveling throughout Europe and Asia after completing his formal schooling, Mondz found a whole new level of education by studying the Great Impressionist Masters at the Louvre and National Gallery, and taking in the profound subtleties of the ancient cultures of the East. His work is characterized by lusciously drenched colors on a variety of mediums exploring a multitude of themes. Abstracts, still lifes, or incredibly detailed landscapes and portraits with a firm foot in realism, Mondz’s creations are riveting and have gained him a devoted following.
