Yitzhak Yamin was born 1938 in Iraq and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1951. At 16 he knew his callign and dedicated himself to the pursuit of art. Yamin graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. In the 1960's, Yamin won the Sharett Foundation scholarship for young artists, and studied under the Viennese artist Ernst Fuchs. In the 1970's he founded his own private school and was later commissioned to produce a number of public sculptures in Israel. His paintings and sculptures are displayed in private and public collections both in Israel and internationally. Yitzhak Yamin died in 2020.
