Since childhood, Phillip Crowe has been fascinated with wildlife and the great outdoors. His excursions with his grandfather and father when they went quail hunting provided a large influence on Crowe’s work today. His mother, however, was the one who persuaded Crowe to pursue his love of art. Thanks to her encouragement, Crowe enrolled in the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida and his studies there laid the groundwork for his love of painting. After he completed his studies, Crowe moved into the hectic world of commercial art and advertising. In order to unwind and relieve stress, Crowe would paint wildlife scenes, which soon became in demand. Crowe received numerous commission offers, which allowed him to share his love of the outdoors with others.
