Peter Skidd studied art at the New York Academy of Art in Manhattan. Now working as a full-time artist in Arizona, Skidd predominantly creates three-dimensional mixed-media pieces. Inspired by the desert and its warm color palette Skidd’s work is both unique and visually stimulating. When speaking of his work, Skidd says: "From my youth the constant presence of my great-grandfather’s art hanging above me throughout my home inspired me to love beauty and to pursue the search for beauty through painting. I love the limitless avenues of metal, especially the dimensionality, movement and transparency of the steel. I find great enjoyment in testing ideas, exploring the possibilities in steel and creating art in such a rigid yet flowing medium."
