Patricia Laspino is best known for the remarkable floral paintings that have captured the hearts of people worldwide. After earning a degree of art from Ohio’s Bowling Green State University, Laspino continued her education at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D. C., where she worked with the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators. Using her talent to build a bridge between art and science, she paints flowers that are true to nature but are also very expressive. Laspino’s natural talent and her extensive studies combined to create paintings and prints that can be found in private, corporate, and public collections across the United States. Some of her work hangs in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, the House of Representatives, and the American Orchid Society and she continues to impress people with her remarkable creations.
