Born in California in 1971, Craig Alan was always interested in art, but didn’t explore this passion until his family moved to New Orleans, Louisiana when he was young. In a city rich with culture and creativity, Alan began experimenting with street portraiture. It was not until his second year at the University of Mobile in Alabama that Alan began studying art formally. Concentrating on studio arts with a minor in theater, he was able to explore and develop countless media and techniques.

Most of Alan’s work exhibits his remarkable skill at involving texture, hue, and composition to create imaginative, unique art. What is interesting about his collections is the range they fill, from abstract expressionism to graphic realism. Combining his formal education with his natural talents, Alan’s art is exhibited and collected all around the United States.
