In 1985 as a 6 year old orphan Marc was adopted by a wealthy family from Englewood NJ. Marc was schooled at private schools and a private New England College (Emerson University). His experiences within the world encouraged many career options, but his focus was set on what his family insisted was only a hobby: art. Feeling that his artistic creative expression was part of a past life (possibly from another country and passed down from parents he never knew), Marc kept his focus inward; concentrated on his love, his soul, his art. The ethnic faces and Latin colorization came naturally, and became organic inspiration for his subsequent work. Traveling throughout South America over the past year has brought even more understanding to Mr. Parnes; “People always claim artistic talent is from within; not a learned skill. I am proof the art lives in ones soul.”
