Growing up on a farm in Greenville, Ohio, Lee Cable came to revere nature and its creatures. Cable’s father was among the first to recognize his formidable artistic talent, and encouraged him to pursue training in design, composition, and anatomy. Cable has dedicated the last 35 years of his life to the artistic portrayal of nature through watercolors and gouache (opaque watercolors), and has consequently become one of the most revered wildlife artists. Cable has exhibited throughout the United States and Canada, and he has been the Featured Artist in many national art shows including the Pacific Rim Wildlife Art Show in Washington and the Oklahoma Wildlife Art Show. Always willing to share his talent and love of nature with others, Cable teaches workshops around the country.
