John Zaccheo

Renowned artist John Zaccheo was born in Kingston, New York and developed his artistic talent at Dutchess College, where he received a medal for outstanding achievement in fine arts. He continued his studies at the Art Student League in New York as well as learning under the tutelage of famous artists and sculptors like John Pike, Robert Benny, and David Lax.

Zaccheo’s artistic career started out with a bang; he became the head creative director of The Music Agency, Inc. and Warner Brothers Music and Publications, where he designed album covers for prominent recording artists like Elton John, Gordon Lightfoot, and The Partridge Family. Zaccheo used this success to start his own advertising agency in New York City, but his urge to create fine art prompted him to sell his successful agency and move to South Florida to follow his passion.

After his move to Florida, Zaccheo signed a contract with Wentworth Gallery and has since created over 650 paintings and thousands of limited edition prints. He has also had over 50 one-man shows, allowing his work to be collected around the world, with famous fans including Jimmy Carter, former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, and Prime Minister Menachem Begin of Israel. Zaccheo now resides in Vermont where he continues to create magnificent pieces of art.
