Jacqueline Fogel shares with us a wholesome and delightful point of view. Her paintings are transparent, lucid and generous translations of what many might view as grimy building facades into sunny cityscapes. These layers of color are made to magically resemble Monte Carlo or the south of France. To one's surprise, much of the inspiration for these watercolors is drawn from New York. Fogel enjoys dealing with visual paradoxes in a natural, unforced and unselfconscious manner.
