Igor Babailov

Igor Babailov has been amazing people with his artistic talents since his youth. Born on 9 February 1965 in the town of Glazov in Russia, Babailov painted his first portrait when he was only four years old. His great skill earned him a place at the exclusive Surikov College of Fine Arts and the Russian Imperial Academy of Fine Arts (est. 1757), where he earned his MFA. It wasn’t long before Babailov moved to North America and began amazing art enthusiasts around the world. Rooted in Classical Realism, his paintings can be immense in size without sacrificing his acute attention to detail. His large-scale murals, which can be ten feet long and eight feet high, are perfect examples of this. His skill in portraiture is so revered that he has become more than just a painter – Babailov is an internationally honored scholar and spokesperson for the tradition school of classical art, giving lectures and seminars all around in the world, from Russia to the U. S. to Italy. He has even been honored with the title of “Living Master” by the prestigious Art Renewal Center.

Admired and revered for his skills as a portraitist, Babailov’s work has earned countless of awards and honors, although perhaps the greatest honor is being commissioned to paint the portraits of world leaders, dignitaries, and public figures; among these are two Popes, Validimir Putin, and Hillary Clinton. His work hangs in some of the world’s most prestigious galleries and exclusive establishments, including the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia, the White House in Washington, D. C., and the Vatican Museum in Vatican City.
