Gino Hollander was born in New Jersey in 1924, and lived in Spain since 1962. In Hollander's words he is partial to living in Spain becuase "the sun produces something in people, makes them nicer, quiter, slower moving, gives them a different spirit". He studied at Rutgers University and Hobart and William Smith College before becoming an award winning producer and director of documentary films. In 1961 Hollander turned his focus onto painting. The paintings and Original lithographs of Gino Hollander burst with expressive energy.
