Fortunato Ornaghi was born in Lombardy, Italy in 1930. He was orphaned early on, and entered into the Artisans’ Institute. It was here where he remained under the constant direction of notable artist Parma of Monza.

Ornaghi specializes in landscape artistry which he paints from life. His work is said to have a very poetic quality about it. He images are warming and realistic and visually transport the viewer to serene and beautiful locations.
