Eugene Segal

Influenced by the master works of renowned artists such as Rembrandt, Velasces, Van Deik, France Hals and fellow countrymen Vrubel and Serov, Russian born Eugene Segal has received critical acclaim for his work. His intriguing technique combines a deeply Impressionistic bent, accented by a bold use of heavy textures and delicate color accents. Segal has been honored again and again with one-man exhibitions in Ukraine’s capital Kiev, and in Moscow, Russia. These exhibitions have been conducted in such prestigious places as the Russian State Duma (Russian Congress), in the Central House of Art (Moscow), and in the Russian Academy of Art to name a few.

As his works have become more and more popular, Mr. Segal was named in the book “Important Ukrainian Painters of XX-XXI centuries” published in 2004 by the Ukrainian National Academy of Art& Science, curated by Academician B.V. Grinev.

Since the age of five, Segal knew he would paint all his life to which his long list of public triumphs and renowned masterpieces attests. He finds inspiration in the many beautiful places he has travelled, as well as his wife Ylia, whom he calls his muse.
