Elizabeth Marks Nakamarra

Born in 1959, Elizabeth Marks Nakamarra is an Aboriginal artist from the Pintubi tribe from the Northern Territory of Australia. Elizabeth started painting by assisting her husband, renowned aboriginal artist and master of the Central Australian art movement, Old Mick Namarrai. She assister her husband until his death in 1998, and has since emerged as artist in her own right.

In her highly valuable and beautiful works, collected and exhibited around the world, she depicts elements of the Dreaming of her family, of her father and grandfather country which lies to the east of Kintore. Elizabeth was named one of Australia's "Most Collectable" in the January 2004 edition of the prestigious Australian Art Collectors.
