Elisabeth Von Holleben was born in West Germany in 1943 and studied at the Art Institute in Hamburg. Her artwork is primarily concerned with the effects of light; her subjects are all static. Her repuation in still lifes and landscapes is without equal amongst her peers. Elisabeth has exhibited throughout Europe and the United States and her work is displayed in many prestigious collections, including those of the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris, the Library of Congress, Washington Graphic Arts Collection and at Senat von Berlin.
