Eduardo Burga was born near the well known port of Callao in Peru. In his lifetime he has had the opportunity to study at the Ateliers of notable artist such as Suarez-Vertis and Tello Montalvo. It was here were he perfected his intricate methods.

Eduardo Burga has painted a variety of portraits of not only people but animals. He has been regarded as one of the best portrait artist in South America.
