Didem Ebru was born in Turkey in 1963. He began sketching in high school in the 70s, then attended art university in the 80s receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After college, Ebru worked manual labor jobs while painting at home in the evening. Painting was a private pursuit until 2005 when he emigrated to the United States. To ease the difficult transition Ebru painted as a cathartic act, which led to a flourishing art career. His primary medium is acrylic, sometimes using vellum and mixed medium to accomplish the desired vision for his work. His work is collected both in the United States and internationally.
