Daniel Pierce grew up in Roseville, Minnesota and served in the U.S. Navy before beginning his career as a wildlife artist. Pierce developed his love of nature during childhood summers spent near Glacier National park in Montana with his grandfather. Now he travels all over the United States and Canada, painting a range of subjects, from still lifes to beaches and lighthouses to forest wildlife. He is best known for the latter; his wildlife paintings of snow leopards, ducks, red foxes, and particularly wolves, have earned him a strong following in North America.
