Born in New York on May 30, 1953, Ceravolo began drawing as a child, but he did not begin to experiment with painting until he was in college. Because of his late blooming as a painter, some critics have reffered to him a "post adolescent prodigy." Ceravalo completec his formal art education with a degree from the State University of New York at Farmingdale. As a result of his stellar talent the University asked him to teach an accredited course in Graphic Design and Painting only two years after he graduated. After teaching he became art director for a New York producer of major concerts and shows. It was in this environment where Ceravolo met with many of the people such as Rod Stewart, Elton John and Monique Van Vooren who would become his future collectors. While art directing, he continued to paint and receive national recognition. For the past 12 years Ceravolo has devoted himself entirely to painting, winning admiration of collectors and critics for the Distinct and Visual Stimulation of his art.
