Carol Lav

Carol Lav is a graduate of Moore College of Art, Philadelphia, and winner of the Widener Traveling Fellowship. She and her husband lived in New Canaan, Connecticut, where she taught art at St. Aloysius School for nine years. She also taught adult painting classes in her own studio and exhibited at several Connecticut galleries. Juried shows in New York included The Salmagundi Club, Audubon Society, National Arts Club, Catherine Lorilard Wolfe, and Hudson Valley Watercolor Show. After her husband’s death, she moved to New York City to take over his textile design studio designing for Leslie Fay, Liz Claiborne, Home Curtain, Town & Country Liners, among others. In 1989, she retired to Long Beach Island to pick up the pieces of her painting career. She is now having some of her work reproduced for sale in local specialty stores on the island.
