Bruno Portugal grew up with a great fascination with the Great Masters of classical painting. After studying at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes de Lima (the National School of the Fine Arts) in Peru, he graduated with the highest honors. Now in his 50s, Portugal has exhibited his remarkable paintings both near his Peruvian home and abroad.
