Bruce Pena has always been a big city kind of person and much of his artistic inspiration is drawn from the energy, excitement, and emotion that are such a large part of living in the city. Pena’s work is additionally inspired by the abstract, urban, pop, and modern art that is a product of metropolitanism.

With a formal art education in photography and computer graphics, Pena prefers to work with acrylic paint, often using digital painting and photography to enhance his work and breathe new, unusual spirit into the final product. He has also partaken in numerous painting, collage, sculpture, and jewelry making workshops. In an age when we have so many artistic options, he is capable of utilizing many of them in a way that surpasses any expectations. Pena takes advantage of this technologically advanced age by showing his work online as well as in his hometown in Austin, Texas.
