The artist known as Azarin was born in Iquitos, Peru in 1969. Already a highly successful self-taught artist in his native land, he later traveled to Ecuador to personally study the famous paintings in Quito. Azarin briefly experimented with sculpture before devoting himself to painting exclusively, going on to study in the ateliers of world renowned artist like Tilsa Tsuchylla and Ladislao Plasencki.
