Andria Feld

Originally, Andria Feld wanted to be an architect, but after taking interior design at Walla Walla College in Washington, Feld had a change of heart. The classes she felt most moved by, were those of figure drawing and sculpture. After she began experimenting with watercolor washes to her drawings of historic buildings, Andria realized the important nuances that color could bring to her projects. In time, she moved to oil, and it wasn’t long before she was “painting,” instead of “drawing,” although she maintains that all her pieces are all rooted to a foundation in drawing. She loves the “problem solving aspect of painting,” a process she says is continuous, “even when I’m not painting.” Andria Feld has taken part in many exhibitions along the west coast, has done numerous event posters, and teaches oil painting classes, as well as Oregon Arts in Education workshops.
