Born in 1959 in Minnesota, Tom Lehman is known for his career as a professional golfer. After earning a degree in business and accounting from the University of Minnesota, Lehman turned professional in 1982. He played on the PGA Tour from 1983 to 1985 before he turned to playing in Asia, South Africa, and on the Ben Hogan Tour. In 1991 he returned to the PGA, earning the tour’s Player of the Year title in 1996. In the same year, he won the Open Championship; through his career he also won the PGA Tour five times, including the Tour Championship and the Memorial Tournament. In 1997 Lehman spent a week at number one in the Official World Golf Rankings. Lehman continues to amaze people with his talent on the green today.
