Tognin was born close to Venice in 1938, he began painting at a very young age and had his first solo exhibition in Rome in 1959. In 1971 he was invited to participate in a group show in Florence and his painting won the gold medal. In 1982 and 1986 he took part in an international exhibition in Stockholom and Oslo in which he captured the hearts and minds among the critics of the international jury. Tognin went on to expose his works in collective and one-man shows always with great sucsess. Today he paints for himself but his works can be found in public collections and galleries throughout the world.
