Susan Conti was raised in Woodstock, NY during the sixties, and it is not a terrible surprise that an appreciation for nature and the outdoors indelibly colors her works. Susan took her BFA in printmaking at the State University of NY at Purchase, and her Masters at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Seven years with South American woodcut artist, Antonio Frasconi and work with monoprint maker, Mauricio Lasanski, further enriched her vision and skills. Susan prides herself on her ability to work within many mediums; she even spent time in her creative life as a make-up artist for the New York City and Metropolitan Operas. Although she has traveled extensively, studying and exhibiting her work with the avant-garde of NYC and Europe, Conti is never far from the outdoors.
