Roger A. Long is broadly recognized for his acrylic mixed media and sand paintings but he is is most famous for his specialized Salmon Series using Gyotaku, a Japanese Technique. His art is displayed in the permanent collection of the Oregon Art Museum as well as numerous galleries throughout the United States. Winner of numerous honors and awards, he was appointed by the governor of Oregon to the Arts Commission.
