Robin Mullen
Born in England in 1962, Robin Mullen is a graduate of the school of life. After exploring many diverse artistic careers, including design and teaching, Robin found that his overwhelming desire to paint was too strong, and he held his first exhibition at the Maltings in Farnham, Surrey, in 1987. A complete success, this first showing, sold out within hours, cemented Robin’s future as one of England’s brightest art stars. Robin’s inspiration is a complex combination of his own life experiences entwined with emotions stirred by other media, such as movies, books, and music. He is equally at home within a wide range of mediums and styles, but his intense passion lies with his uniquely remarkable abstract work, developed over a number of years of painstaking experimentation and enhancement upon his artistic foundations. His work is dramatic and extreme, a marriage of sensuous texture and vigorous application which achieves levels of expression previously unseen and unheard of.
