Randy began studying the art of watercoloring while in high school and at the age of 17 he attended the Dayton Art Institute to further build on those skills. Thereafter, Randy attended the California Institute of the Arts (CalArt), a arts college founded by Walt Disney.

while still at CalArts, Randy was hired to create character and licensing art for Inspector Gadget and other shows in the massive DIC Animation library. Since then he has produced designs and art for many companies including Mattel, Paramount Studios, Hanna-Barbera, Upper Deck, and of course, Disney.

A member of the American Watercolor Society and the American Impressionist Society, Randy's paintings are collected by private collectors and corporations throughout the world.
