Alessandro Nocentini was born in Florence, Italy in 1949, and has continued to live there since then, devoting his life to his artwork. Since 1973, Nocentini has been showing his work and receiving recognition from the international art world. He is known as one of Italy's greatest engravers/etchers of the second generation, earning praise from critics and the public. Nocentini derives his inspiration from the landscapes of his native country. His graphics are individually water-colored after pressing, resulting in a lyrical effect of remarkable intensity, beauty and vitality. His subjects are drawn from nature and hold an organic quality that is the founding strength of all his works.
