Born on the outskirts of Moscow, Russia in 1971, Alexander Alexandrovitch has been painting for as long as he can remember. His father, an artist himself, strived to influence his son by taking him to the world renowned Pushkin Museum and Tretyakovskaya Gallery in Moscow. Together they would spend their Saturday's studying the works of DaVinci, Michelangelo, Rembrandt and Repin.

Alexander pursued his dream to become a professional artist by enrolling in the Moscow College of Arts and completing his studies in 1990. The fall of communism and the Soviet Union provided an immediate and liberating influence.

Alexander then entered graduate studies at the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in 1991 and completed his studies in 1997.

Alexander's masterful style employs a symmetrical composition with contrasting definition of various objects. His paitings often appear impressionistic with softened tones, while more frequently they have a hard edge. The combination of these techniques results in a composition that is uniquely his own.
