Kevin Dixon born in Leeds in 1948, and attended the Leeds College of Art before launching a successful career as an illustrator in advertising. In 1976, Dixon formed his own design-based company, which produced illustrations for many national companies. Fortunately, Dixon eventually followed his heart to become a full-time painter, and has since enjoyed a great deal of success. Dixon's favorite subjects to paint are scenes from Tuscany and the South of France, and his work is widely exhibited in the UK, France, New England, and New Zealand. Dixon’s most recent show in Leeds completely sold out.

Dixon is known for his strong use of color as well as play on light and shadow. When describing his inspiration, Dixon says, “The vibrancy of sun soaked lands, hot earth and brilliant skies have been my main source of inspiration – especially for the past fifteen years where I have had a home in the south of France.”
