Anton Stekolschikov

Anton Stekolschikov was born in 1967 in Moscow in the family of famous artists Vyacheslav Stekolschikov and Mlada Finogenova. His early years passed in Verkhnyaya Maslovka, in this well-known "city of painters" where he could mix with such outstanding masters as Arkady Plastov, Georgy Nissky, Fedor Reshetnikov and others.

In 1993 Anton Stekolschikov graduated with honors and his diploma artwork was called "Christening in the Returned Temple". The same year he became a member of the Moscow Regional Union of Artists. In 1997 Anton Stekolschikov together with his father Vyacheslav Stekolschikov became the winner in the contest to paint the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. Their canvas "Pantokrator on the Throne" is on display at the Cathedral's museum.

The artist's main direction is landscape and genre scenes, he is also keen on the subject of Russia's and Russian orthodox church renaissance. One of his favorite places is Borisogleb and its peaceful views. A lot of splendid artworks have been created in this cozy provincial Russian town.

Anton Stekolschikov's artworks are presented in the collections of the Institute of Russian Realist Art in Moscow, at the Museum of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow and in various private collections both in Russia and abroad.
